1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Unravel Travel. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services, website, and platforms provided by Unravel Travel Marketing Inc. ("Unravel Travel," "we," "us," or "our"), a British Columbia corporation.

By registering for a membership, accessing our website, or using any of our services, you ("Member," "User," or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Unravel Travel.

2. Description of Services

Unravel Travel provides a membership-based platform offering travel support across three phases:

2.1 Pre-Trip: Rewards Points Travel Planning

We assist Members in planning travel using airline and credit card loyalty reward points programs. This includes strategy guidance, itinerary suggestions, points optimization advice, and booking support. Unravel Travel acts in an advisory capacity only and does not guarantee availability, redemption rates, or outcomes within any third-party loyalty program.

2.2 Mid-Trip: AI-Powered Assistance

Members have access to AI-powered assistance bots during travel to help with real-time questions, logistics, and support. These bots are provided as a convenience tool and are subject to the limitations described in Section 5 of these Terms.

2.3 Post-Trip: Airline Complaint Resolution

We assist Members in preparing and submitting complaints to airlines regarding delays, cancellations, baggage issues, denied boarding, and other travel disruptions. Unravel Travel provides guidance and support in this process but does not guarantee any specific outcome, compensation, or response from any airline or regulatory body.

3. Membership & Subscriptions

3.1 Membership Tiers

Unravel Travel offers various membership tiers, the details of which are described on our website. Features, access levels, and pricing vary by tier.

3.2 Billing

Membership fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan) and are charged to your payment method on file. All fees are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

3.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings or by contacting us directly. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.

3.4 Renewals

Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. We will provide reasonable advance notice of any changes to membership pricing.

3.5 Free Trials

Where a free trial is offered, your membership will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.

3.6 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card issuer for a valid membership fee, Unravel Travel reserves the right to immediately terminate your access to the platform. You agree that any disputes regarding our services must first be addressed through our Dispute Resolution process (Section 12) before seeking a reversal of payment through a financial institution.

4. Rewards Points & Third-Party Programs

Unravel Travel provides guidance related to third-party loyalty and rewards programs (including but not limited to airline frequent flyer programs and credit card points programs). You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Unravel Travel has no affiliation with, control over, or responsibility for any third-party loyalty program;
  • Points values, redemption availability, transfer ratios, and program rules are set solely by third-party providers and are subject to change without notice;
  • Unravel Travel makes no guarantee that any specific redemption, award seat, or points strategy will be available or successful;
  • Any points, miles, or rewards remain subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant third-party program.

You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of any loyalty program you participate in.

4.1 Compensation & Affiliate Disclosure

Unravel Travel may receive compensation, referral fees, or commissions from credit card issuers, financial institutions, or other third-party providers in connection with products or information we discuss or recommend. Such compensation does not influence our editorial independence, but you should be aware that a financial relationship may exist. We will endeavour to disclose material relationships where applicable.

4.2 Points Valuation & Estimates

Any "cents-per-point" valuations or estimated savings figures provided by Unravel Travel are for illustrative and educational purposes only. These valuations are subjective, fluctuate based on market conditions, and do not constitute a guaranteed cash value or a fixed rate of return. Unravel Travel is not liable for discrepancies between our estimates and the actual value realized upon redemption.

5. No Financial Advice & No Travel Agency Relationship

5.1 Not Financial Advice

Unravel Travel is not a financial planner, financial advisor, mortgage broker, or investment dealer, and is not registered as such under any applicable Canadian legislation. Nothing provided through our services — including guidance on credit cards, loyalty programs, reward points strategies, or affiliate product recommendations — constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to acquire any financial product. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any financial decisions.

5.2 Travel Education — Not a Travel Agency

Unravel Travel is a travel education platform. We provide members with educational content, tools, and guidance to help them understand travel options, loyalty programs, and travel planning concepts. We are not a licensed travel agency and do not sell travel packages, act as a travel agent, or book travel on your behalf as a principal. Any content, guidance, or support we provide is educational in nature and does not constitute travel agent services under applicable British Columbia legislation. You remain solely responsible for your own travel bookings and any agreements entered into with airlines, hotels, tour operators, or other travel suppliers.

6. Airline Complaint Resolution Services

Our post-trip complaint resolution support is provided on a best-efforts basis. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Unravel Travel acts solely in a support and advisory capacity and is not a legal representative or licensed paralegal;
  • We cannot guarantee any outcome, compensation, response time, or action by any airline or regulatory authority;
  • Submission of a complaint does not create an attorney-client or fiduciary relationship;
  • Any compensation received through a complaint process is subject to the policies of the relevant airline and applicable regulations, including the Canadian Air Passenger Protection Regulations.

7. AI Services Disclaimer

Our mid-trip AI assistance bots are designed to provide helpful travel support. However, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated responses are informational only and do not constitute professional travel, legal, medical, or financial advice;
  • AI responses may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information;
  • Unravel Travel is not responsible for any decisions made or actions taken based on AI bot guidance;
  • AI services may experience outages, delays, or limitations due to technical factors beyond our control;
  • You should exercise your own judgment and, where appropriate, verify information independently or consult a qualified professional;
  • Our AI services utilize third-party processors, including but not limited to OpenAI and Anthropic. By using the mid-trip assistance tools, you acknowledge that your queries will be processed by these third parties in accordance with their respective privacy and data security policies;
  • While our AI tools assist in generating airline complaints, you are solely responsible for the factual accuracy of all information submitted to an airline or regulatory body. You must review all AI-generated documentation before submission.

7. User Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and using our services;
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials;
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account;
  • Use our services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms;
  • Not misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent any part of our platform or AI tools;
  • Not share your membership access with third parties.

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

7.1 Our Commitment to Your Security

Unravel Travel will never:

  • ask you for your loyalty program passwords, account PINs, or login credentials;
  • ask you to transfer points, miles, or currency to us or any third party on our behalf;
  • request payment via gift cards, wire transfers, or any method outside your normal membership billing;
  • send unsolicited requests for money or personal financial information of any kind.

If you receive any communication claiming to be from Unravel Travel that requests this type of information, please treat it as suspicious and do not respond. You can verify or report suspicious activity by contacting us directly:

We take the security of our members seriously and will never pressure you to act quickly or secretly.

8. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and storage of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using our services, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We comply with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada).

9. Intellectual Property

All content, tools, software, AI systems, branding, and materials provided by Unravel Travel are the intellectual property of Unravel Travel Marketing Inc. or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership or license to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use our services as a Member.

You retain ownership of any content or information you submit to us but grant Unravel Travel a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that information as necessary to provide our services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Unravel Travel's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim;
  • Unravel Travel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of travel opportunities;
  • We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any airline, hotel, loyalty program, or other third-party provider.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (British Columbia).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Unravel Travel, its directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of our services;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights;
  • Any inaccurate or misleading information you provide to us.

12. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

12.1 Good Faith Negotiation

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Unravel Travel's services ("Dispute"), both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation. You must notify us in writing of the Dispute, and we will have thirty (30) days to attempt resolution before either party may proceed to arbitration.

12.2 Binding Arbitration

If the Dispute is not resolved through negotiation, both parties agree that it shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered under the Arbitration Act (British Columbia). The arbitration shall:

  • Be conducted by a single arbitrator mutually agreed upon by the parties, or if no agreement is reached, appointed in accordance with the applicable rules;
  • Take place in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, or remotely by mutual agreement;
  • Be conducted in English;
  • Result in a decision that is final and binding on both parties.

12.3 Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek urgent injunctive or interim relief from a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to prevent irreparable harm, without waiving the right to arbitration for the underlying Dispute.

12.4 No Class Actions

You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Unravel Travel.

12.5 Costs

Each party shall bear its own costs in arbitration, unless the arbitrator determines that one party's conduct warrants a different allocation.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to the arbitration clause above, the parties attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia for any matters not subject to arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our platform at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of our services after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must cancel your membership before the effective date.

15. Termination

Unravel Travel reserves the right to suspend or terminate your membership and access to our services at any time, with or without cause, upon reasonable notice. We may terminate immediately for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that poses a risk to other Members or our platform.

Upon termination, your right to access our services ceases immediately. Sections 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
