Community Member Board

Members helping
members travel.

A place for members to share what they can't use, and lean on each other when it counts. Pass on a voucher today. Find a companion for the road soon. All by hand, member to member.

A look at what members pin here. Real posts go up
as the board fills.

Share a voucher

The voucher you can't use, another member can.

Companion passes expire. Flight credits sit unused. A free-night certificate goes to waste because the dates never lined up. On the board, you can offer it to another member when the program allows, instead of letting it lapse.

Nothing changes hands in the open. We check what each program permits, introduce the two members, and help the booking go through the right way.

Next on the board: travel companions.

Someone who could use a hand, matched with someone glad to give one. Here's how it will work.

If you could use a hand

The trip is possible. Company makes it comfortable.

Maybe it's low vision. Maybe it's a knee that doesn't love stairs, or a first big trip in years, or travelling on your own for the first time. The distance between wanting to go and going is often one person.

A companion travels with you. Through security, across connections, at dinner. You bring the trip. They help carry it.

You've done the miles. Share them.

You're comfortable in airports. You read a departure board without thinking about it. For someone else, that ease is the difference between staying home and seeing the world.

Travel somewhere you were going anyway, or somewhere new. Every match is voluntary. You meet first, and both of you decide.

How it works

Three steps, no algorithm.

Every match on the board is made by people, one at a time. Slowly, carefully, and only when it fits.

1

Tell us what you have or need.

A voucher to pass on, one you're hoping to find, or a hand you could use on the road. By email, or in person at the space.

2

We make the match.

By hand, one pair at a time. We check what each program permits, then introduce the two members. If there's no fit yet, we wait until there is.

3

Both say yes, then it happens.

Either side can pass, no reasons needed. When you both agree, we help the voucher or the trip go through the right way.

In development

We're building the member board now. Voucher sharing comes first, with travel companions to follow. Early matches are made one at a time, and the list is small. Add your name and we'll be in touch when there's a fit, not before.

Share the road.

The member board is part of membership. Online, or in person on Vancouver Island. No commitment, and no cost to talk.
